Camera Mic and WindscreenMay 23, 2011 By Todd BreenRode VideoMicI’ve had mine for a year and a half and it is great. Nice and directional but not too directional. Has a wind filter and takes a 9 volt battery that lasts for 100 hours. It’s mono which is what you want for voice. Plugs into the Panasonic TM90 and other cameras. This mic also has rubber band suspension so that noise from your hand movements on the camcorder do not get recorded by the mic which cannot be said about the cheap built-in camera mics.Fur Windsock for Rode Video MicI never take it off of my microphone, inside or out. It combats outside wind and inside air-conditioning vents. There is nothing worse than having to re-shoot the video due to bad audio interference.Put it on right over the foam mic cover.
